Who we are

Pawsitions is a puppy logic puzzle game for iPhone, made by Mohan Jeyasankar (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for this policy and for the app. It covers the Pawsitions app and this website.

What stays on your iPhone

To keep your game between sessions, Pawsitions saves the following in its own private storage on your iPhone (the app’s sandboxed Application Support folder and its preferences). iOS keeps this storage separate from other apps.

Your progress

Your journey level, the stars and best time for each level, chapters finished, story pages seen, any game you left in progress, and simple totals such as puzzles solved and time played.

Daily puzzles

The result of each daily puzzle you solved (time, stars, mistakes and hints used). Your streaks are worked out from these results.

Treats, hints and pups

Your treat and hint balances, the pups you have brought home and the pup you picked.

Settings

Sound, haptics, auto-mark, tool mode, timer, conflict highlighting, color-blind patterns, appearance and reduce motion, plus small interface reminders such as the practice difficulty you picked last.

Your profile

Your display name if you choose one (otherwise the app makes up a name such as “Sleepy Biscuit”), the date your Pack League began, and a random identifier the app creates the first time it opens. The identifier is never shown and never leaves your iPhone; its only job is to keep your simulated Pack League rivals the same from day to day.

Puzzle cache

Copies of puzzles the app has already generated, so a level opens instantly the next time.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. The app contains no code that could send it.

What the app does not do

• No internet. Pawsitions has no network features. It never connects to a server, loads nothing from the web and works exactly the same in airplane mode.
• No accounts. There is no sign-up or sign-in, and no email address or password is ever asked for.
• No ads, analytics or tracking. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and the app never reads your device’s advertising identifier.
• No third-party SDKs. The app is built only with Apple’s own frameworks. It contains no code from advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other outside companies.
• No purchases. There are no in-app purchases. Treats are earned by playing and cannot be bought with money.
• No access to your personal information. The app does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or health data, never reads your photo library, and sends no notifications. The only time it can touch Photos is if you choose Save Image in the share sheet after a win: iOS then asks your permission to add that one picture to your library.

The Pack League

The Ranks tab is the Pack League: you against 48 rival pups. The rivals are computer-simulated characters, not real people. Their names, times and levels are generated on your iPhone from the random identifier above and the clock. No one else’s data is involved, and nobody else ever sees your name, your times or your levels.

Sharing a result

After a win you can tap the share button. iOS then shows its standard share sheet with a picture of your result (the level or date, your stars, your time and the colored board; your display name is not on it). You decide whether to share it and where. It goes straight from your iPhone to the app you choose, under that app’s own privacy terms. Nothing about it reaches us.

Device backups

If you back up your iPhone, to iCloud Backup or to a computer, the Pawsitions data described above may be included in that backup like any other app’s data. Backups are handled by Apple and by you, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to them.

Crash reports and analytics from Apple

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers on your iPhone, Apple may share crash reports and app usage statistics about Pawsitions with us. Apple only does this when you have opted in, and only in a form that does not identify you: crash reports without personal details, and usage figures that are aggregated and anonymized. We use them only to find and fix problems. This is a feature of iOS, run by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy; Pawsitions itself sends nothing.

To turn it off, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone and switch off Share With App Developers.

Deleting your data

Everything Pawsitions stores is on your iPhone and under your control.

• Reset progress: in the app, Settings › Reset progress erases your journey levels and stars, daily results and streaks, treats, hints, saved games and every pup except your first one, and starts your Pack League over. Your display name and settings stay. It asks you to confirm and cannot be undone.
• Delete the app: deleting Pawsitions removes everything it stored on your iPhone. A device backup made earlier may still hold a copy until that backup is replaced or deleted.

Children

Pawsitions is a gentle puzzle game suitable for all ages. It has no ads, chat, accounts, purchases or links out of the app, and it asks for no personal information. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (as covered by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA) and children under 16 in the European Economic Area or the UK.

If you are a parent or guardian and your child has emailed us, contact us and we will delete that message.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. These include the right to know what is held, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to move it to another service (portability), to object to or restrict its use, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.

Because the app gives us no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete or port, and nothing is sold or shared. Your game data stays on your iPhone, where you can reset it or delete it at any time as described above. We will never treat you differently for asking about your rights.

You are still welcome to contact us at pawsitionssupport@apexapp.site with any privacy question or request, and we will answer. If you have emailed us before, you can ask for a copy of what we hold or for it to be deleted. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you email us

Emailing us is optional. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply and to help with your question (our legitimate interest in giving support). We do not add you to any mailing list or share your message with anyone. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it to help you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

This website

This website is a few static pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, trackers, scripts or fonts from other sites. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We do not use this information to identify you.

International users

Pawsitions works the same in every country. Because the app sends nothing anywhere, using it never transfers your data to us or across borders. If you email us, your message is stored with our email provider and may be processed in a country other than your own.

Security

Your game data lives in the app’s private storage, protected by your iPhone’s built-in security, such as its passcode and data protection. Since the app sends nothing and we run no servers for it, there is no copy of your data held by us that could be exposed. Keeping your iPhone locked with a passcode is the best way to protect what is on it.

Changes to this policy

If what Pawsitions stores or sends ever changes, we will update this page before that version of the app is released, and change the effective date at the top. If a future version were to collect any personal data, this policy would say exactly what, why and how to control it before that version is available.
